WestJet, a Canadian airline headquartered in
Calgary, Alberta has appointed APG as its online General Sales
Agent (GSA) in Japan.

APG is contracted to provide
the carrier with sales development and wide-ranging marketing
activities, as well as reservation and ticketing services across
the country.

WestJet launched its first transpacific service on
Sunday, with flights between
Calgary (YYC) and Tokyo Narita (NRT), the only non-stop connection
between Alberta province and Asia.

The airline will operate the seasonal route with
thrice weekly flights using Boeing 787-9 aircraft up to 28 October
2023.

On Wednesdays and Fridays, flight WS80 is
scheduled to depart YYC at 15:00 and arrive at NRT at 16:05 the
following day. On Sundays, the flight is slated to leave YYC at
15:10 and arrive at NRT at 16:15 the following day.

On Mondays and Saturdays, the return leg, WS81, is
timed to leave NRT at 18:15 and arrive back at YYC at 12:15. On
Thursdays the flights will depart at
18:30 arrive at YYC at 12:30.

the excellent WestJet service into Asia,” said Richard Burgess,
President, APG Network. “Our team in Japan worked very closely with WestJet to ensure a successful
launch and we were extremely happy to welcome their first
flight into Tokyo.”

WestJet launched in 1996 with three
aircraft, 250 employees and five destinations, growing over the
years to more than 180 aircraft, 14,000 employees and more than
110 destinations in 24 countries.

representative for ticket sales and promotions in Japan. Their
innovative approach and well-established relationships with the
Japanese travel trade will contribute greatly to our successful
