Minister of State Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, on Thursday, February 29, 2024, inaugurated the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) Governing Council at the PTDF conference room in Abuja.

Chaired by the Honourable Minister, the council includes various industry stakeholders and institutions, with Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe serving as the Executive Secretary and Secretary of the council.

In his welcome address, Senator Lokpobiri emphasized the significant progress made by the NCDMB since the enactment of the Act in 2010, urging the council to sustain this momentum.

He also highlighted Nigeria’s role as a model for other African nations seeking to emulate the country’s local content success.

Expressing his gratitude, the Minister formally inaugurated the council members, emphasizing his commitment as both minister and chairman to their collective success.

Engr. Felix Omatsola Ogbe, Executive Secretary of the NCDMB and Secretary of the council, expressed appreciation to the President and the Honourable Minister for the opportunity, pledging to collaborate with stakeholders to achieve Nigerian Content expectations of 70 percent by 2027.
