Norse Atlantic Airways launched flights between
Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Berlin
Brandenburg Airport (BER) in
Germany on Wednesday.

The airline will operate the thrice weekly flights
with Boeing 787 aircraft featuring a two class cabin with both
Economy and Premium Classes available. Every seat features a personal entertainment
system, while the Premium cabin offers a 43” seat pitch and 12”
recline.

The new route marks the start-up airline’s second
launch celebration at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International
Airport (FLL) in six months.

“It’s an exciting day for FLL as we welcome the
airport’s first-ever scheduled nonstop route to Berlin,” said Mark
Gale, CEO/Director of Aviation. “Norse’s new service between Fort
Lauderdale and Germany’s capital city follows its June launch of
Oslo, Norway flights. Both routes play a pivotal role in helping
reestablish FLL as a transatlantic gateway. We look forward to
welcoming other European flights in the near future.”

Norse Atlantic Airways was founded by CEO and
major shareholder Bjørn Tore Larsen in March 2021. The airline has
a fleet of 15 Boeing 787 Dreamliners that it operates on long-haul
flights, primarily between Europe and the United States. The
company’s first flight took off from Oslo to New York on 14 June
2022.

“Norse continues to deliver on our promise to
offer affordable value and a quality traveling experience to all.
Berlin is a delightful winter destination where travelers can
enjoy the snow, Christmas lights, holiday treats, shopping and
more. Our affordable fares will allow our customers to use their
extra travel dollars to explore Germany and experience new and
unique adventures with family and friends,” said Mr.
Larsen. “As we celebrate our
inaugural service from Fort Lauderdale tonight, we are pleased to
now be able to offer direct flights between these two cities.”
