IAA launches training video series to support advisers

As part of our continued commitment to supporting immigration advisers, the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) is pleased to launch a new series of commissioned training videos.

The series has been developed in direct response to feedback from our adviser survey, which identified a strong demand for high-quality, practical training to support day-to-day practice. In response, we commissioned an external training provider to design and deliver this suite of updates, reinforcing our commitment to strengthening advisers’ skills, confidence and ongoing professional development across the sector.

Five videos are now available, covering key areas of immigration advice and practice:

  • Settlement in the UK

  • When and how to instruct a barrister

  • Article 8: family and private life

  • Making family applications

  • AI in the Tribunal

A further five videos will be released in due course, expanding the series to cover additional priority topics.

While certificates will not be issued for viewing these materials, they may be logged as part of advisers’ continuing professional development (CPD), in line with existing record-keeping arrangements.

These resources are intended for advisers and primary contacts only. Links have been shared directly by email.

We are committed to investing in the skills, confidence, and professional development of advisers across the sector.
