EU’s GDP valued at €18.8 trillion in 2025 – News articles

The EU’s gross domestic product (GDP) was valued at €18.8 trillion in 2025. 

Germany had the largest economy among EU countries (€4.5 trillion, or 23.8% of the EU total), followed by France (15.8%) and Italy (12.0%). 

At the other end of the range, Malta (0.1%) had the smallest economy in EU, behind Cyprus, Estonia and Latvia (all 0.2%).
