PODGORICA, Montenegro — German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock on Monday called on her government to “intensively consider” potential deliveries of Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine, stressing that “the facts are very, very clear.”
Speaking at a press conference during a visit to Montenegro, Baerbock said that Germany should think about sending “all materials” to Ukraine that could help it defend its territory and protect its population.
Her reply came in response to a question about whether she agrees with Scholz’s argument that Berlin can’t send the long-distance cruise missiles because this would require the presence of German troops on Ukrainian soil.
