Accor has expanded its portfolio of ibis hotels
in Thailand with the opening of a property in the trendy Nimman
neighbourhood of Chiang Mai in the north of the country.

The ibis Chiangmai Nimman Journeyhub is within
walking distance of the ancient walled city and is surrounded by
coffee shops, independent boutiques, restaurants and live music
bars.

“Welcome to Chiang Mai!” said Maverik Mukherjee, General Manager of ibis Chiang Mai Nimman
Journeyhub. “My team and I are excited
to welcome you to the ibis Chiang Mai Nimman Journeyhub. Whether
you are travelling for business or leisure, we will be delighted
to serve you and make your stay a happy and memorable one. Our
hotel opens to all. Both international travellers and locals can
look at the hotel as a vibrant and modern space to relax.”

All 142 guestrooms of the hotel feature the
brand’s
signature Sweet Bed by ibis, a business desk and complimentary
high-speed Wi-Fi.

Facilities include an all-day restaurant, fitness
centre and an outdoor infinity pool with views of the jungle-clad
mountains and Doi Suthep.

The hotel has also embraced the latest technology
to offer guests a variety of 24-hour services, including online
check-in and fast check-out.

“The capital of the ancient Lanna Kingdom, Chiang
Mai is Thailand’s cultural heart with ancient temples, natural
wonders and a vibrant arts scene. We are delighted to collaborate
with Boutique Corporation once again to introduce our upbeat ibis
brand to this aspirational destination. Complementing our existing
Novotel, as well as Mercure, Mövenpick and MGallery hotels in and
around the city, we can now cater for every type of visitor to
Chiang Mai,” said Garth Simmons, Chief Executive Officer, Accor
Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea.
