As part of a European Commission study on consumer education, European consumer organisations and professionals have the chance to contribute to the understanding of the situation about consumers skills and knowledge in their country and to bring forward new ideas, by taking a 15-minute online survey.
ONLINE SURVEY ON CONSUMER EDUCATION
DEADLINE: 23 DECEMBER 2022
Via this survey, EU consumer organisations and professionals can help the European Commission understand the needs of consumers for education and advice, and to identify successful consumer education initiatives in EU countries. The replies will thus help the European Commission improve consumer education and, consequently, empower consumers.
The whole study stems from the understanding that today’s consumers operate in a complex marketplace and are faced with increasing amounts of information as well as a wider choice of complex products and services. They are increasingly exposed to misleading or unfair commercial practices. Therefore, consumers require a greater range of skills and knowledge than ever before. This can be facilitated through improved consumer education, which can empower consumers.
