London studio Denizen Works creates a castle-style home dubbed the Hundred Acre Wood House and it is a contestant for the RIAS Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award. The video capturing the house is produced by Stephenson&, showcasing the monolithic structure and its dynamic surroundings.
Founder of the studio Murray Kerr speaks about how his studio developed the “language of the building” simply from aa blank canvas only focusing on the sun and wind patterns. He states, “We started to talk about, well, what if the house is almost a kind of found solid and then gets eroded by the weather. Which is why the west elevation that faces the prevailing winds is much more kind of broken down and the rest of the house.”
