The Green Bay Packers have finally done it.

After defeating the Chicago Bears yesterday, the Packers are holders of a very treasured NFL record.

With 787 total franchise wins, the Packers overtake the Bears as the most wins by a single team in NFL history.

While the Packers’ season hasn’t been what they had initially expected to start the season, a moral victory such as this may be an inciting incident for an energy-charged rest of the 2022 campaign.

The Packers Aren’t Done Yet

Although their win against the Bears on Sunday was one for the record books, the Packers have their sights set on a new goal.

Playoffs.

They have made the playoffs in eight of the last ten seasons.

The odds are stacked against them, but they have a mathematical possibility to still make the playoffs, even though they sport a 5-8 record.

To make the playoffs, a few different scenarios need to occur.

First, they have to win the rest of their games.

After their Week 14 bye, the Packers take on the Los Angeles Rams, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings, and Detroit Lions.

While the Lions and Rams appear to be easier matchups at the moment, the Dolphins and Vikings will be much tougher tests, having a combined record of 18-6.

Assuming they win out, the Packers will also have to get a bit lucky.

Currently, the Packers are the tenth-best team in the NFC and need the three teams ahead of them to lose the majority of their remaining games to even have a chance at the playoffs.
