Players from the Chicago Bears are most likely in the vacation-planning mode for the 2023 NFL offseason.

After a loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, the Bears’ 2022 playoff hopes are over.

They currently sit at the bottom of the NFC North with a record of 3-10.

What Went Wrong For The Bears This Season?

The Bears have found their franchise quarterback in young Justin Fields.

He has been playing much better in his second season and looks to take another meteoric leap in 2023.

While they have much to look forward to for the 2023 season, let’s consider what might have gone wrong for them this year.

For starters, the offense only has put up 20.8 points per game.

In a league that is scoring-focused, and there are more pass attempts across the league than ever before, having an offense that can put up some points is a must.

The Bears’ defense used to be their strong suit.

However, that hasn’t been the case this season, and the offense has needed a strong defense to bail out their inefficiencies.

By allowing more than 25 points per game, the defense hasn’t given Fields and the offense any flexibility.

As demonstrated with their game against the Packers yesterday, Fields was forced to try and be the hero for the offense.

In doing so, he threw two interceptions, including a game-sealing pick with less than two minutes left in the game.

With a pick that looks to be top two in the 2023 draft, the Bears look to improve their team in a big way.

Getting another young player alongside Fields would go a long way for this team.
