Convenience remains of key importance to today’s shopper, which is one of the guiding principles for the new Walmart Text to Shop service that’s being launched by the big box retailer. The service is being offered for customers to access via their Android or iOS mobile device and connects directly with their Walmart account to keep track of favorite items. Shoppers can simply enter what they’re looking to and press send to have it added to their cart to expedite their ability to get everything they need over the course of a period of time.
Vice President of Conversational Commerce at Store No8 Dominque Essig explained the new Walmart Text to Shop service further saying, “At Walmart, we know that keeping track of your household shopping list is often a mental task you manage as you go about your day. That’s why Walmart is excited to offer our customers a new and convenient way to shop — by simply texting us.”
