New Balance works in collaboration with Stone Island on a new pair of the classic 574 sneaker model for the season. This marks the first New Balance sneaker for the luxury technical brand.
Speaking about the new launch, Stone Island CEO Carlo Rivetti talks about it to Highsnobiety, stating that “If you give people what they want, you are late to the game. If you want to give them something different — not that you shouldn’t care about the market — but you should see what’s missing.” In terms of the shoe’s construction, it has a hairy suede material throughout the upper and sits on top of a chunky sole unit foundation from the 574 Legacy shoe.
