Google Chrome is launching the new Memory Saver feature, which is developed to help reduce energy and save memory space on devices. It was recently announced alongside a range of new features that are set to join the web browser with the ultimate goal of speeding things up.
In the next few weeks, Chrome users on platforms including Windows, ChromeOS, and macOS will be able to toggle their browsers using Memory Saver and Energy Saver. Energy Saver is developed to help the browser run more smoothly on statuses including lower power at 20% or less. This includes automatically restricting background activities, videos, and images that are not in use. It will be found under the three-dot menu in Chrome on the top right.
