Gardaí are monitoring “simmering tensions” between factions of the Irish far right after members of the “Coolock Says No” movement crossed the Border to support loyalist paramilitaries at the Belfast riots.

The Sunday Independent also understands the PSNI is co-operating in information-sharing with gardaí about the presence of people from the Republic at violent incidents last weekend.
