Just when you thought hummus couldn’t get any more exciting, Trader Joe’s has added new Crunchy Chili Onion Hummus.
Just as the name suggests, this dip features both crunchy and spicy elements. The new hummus starts with a base of creamy, puréed chickpeas and sesame seeds, all blended with a bit of sunflower oil and sea salt. The whole thing is then topped with a Trader Joe’s fan-favorite: Crunchy Chili Onion. This spicy-savory topping adds savory garlic, aromatic onion, and spicy red chili flavors, as well as a delightful crunchy element.
While the new Crunchy Chili Onion Hummus makes the perfect dip for veggies, chips, or pita, it also works well as a sandwich spread. You can even add it on top of a veggie burger for a unique flavor experience.
