London-based designer Wales Bonner is no stranger to adidas and during the showcase of its Marathon capsule for SS24, a new pair of adidas sneakers was seen. It is bold in nature with a partially metallic silver build and a snakeskin pattern on the other half.
With a closer glance, it seems to embody a retro aesthetic, similar to the German brand’s other revivals. The snakeskin pattern is seen decorating most of the upper from the toe cap and along the sides with muted stitching details including the Three Stripes branding on the sides. The collar is lined in green for a tonal contrast with silver at the heel unit. Branding continues in white along the heel and forefoot.
