Adorning stone company Arca’s showroom is American designer Kelly Wearstler’s collection of sculptural marble furniture. Titled ‘Nudo,’ the release consists of 16 eye-catching pieces that debuted during Miami Art Week. As one might guess, the primary material for these silhouettes is marble supplied by Arca.
The furniture pieces draw viewers in with an intriguing juxtaposition between the hard material and the soft, curvaceous lines. Kelly Wearstler embraced different colors of the marble to diversify the capsule. The designer shares that with the Nudo collection, “[she] was deeply interested in exploring the possibility of creating a real softness through curvaceous shapes within the fortitude of marble.”
The sculptural marble furniture is additionally informed by the art of different practices. Arca and Wearstler presented the Nudo capsule in a “fabric-lined installation.”
