Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) has confirmed that
Jason Mahoney will join the company as Chief Operating Officer in
May.

Jason has extensive experience in the global
aviation industry and previously held the position of
Chief Technical Officer at British Airways, where he was responsible for
driving technical engineering and large-scale operational changes
worldwide.

He has held several leader positions at British
Airways, including COO for a number of years, and has been
Director of Engineering and Maintenance at TUI.

“I am very pleased to welcome Jason Mahoney to
SAS. Jason is a well-recognized and experienced professional
within the airline industry. He will be a valuable addition to
SAS’ top management team,” said Anko van der Werff, President and
CEO of SAS.

Jason will officially join the company on 1 May,
succeeding Simon Pauck Hansen who left
SAS in January.

“I’m both proud and excited to join SAS. It is an
airline with a long legacy and a strong brand and I see great
potential ahead given its leading position in Scandinavia and the
comprehensive transformation process SAS is currently
undertaking,” Jason said. “I am looking forward to be part of that
journey and to continue developing the operations together with
the team. I am also thrilled to be reconnecting with Scandinavia
given my previous experiences, which I thoroughly enjoyed.”

Erik Westman has been appointed
EVP Network and Revenue Management at SAS after five months in the
position as Acting EVP and is now a permanent member of SAS Group
Management.

Erik has held several leader positions during his ten
years with SAS.
