The ‘e801’ was unveiled to much fanfare at the Austrian Boat Show, garnering significant attention due to numerous reasons that are perhaps headlined by the use of an electric motor from Evoy that is capable of churning out more than 300 kilowatts. As a result, the ‘e801’ electric boat is designed to be able to achieve speeds of over 50 knots (or 92.5 km/h) in bursts, which equates to more than 400 horsepower. Elsewhere, the boat comes with a fully waterproof battery setup that allows for a range of 35km at speeds of 25 knots.
The latest outcome of a collaboration between Germany-based Performance Marine Yachting and Norway-based Evoy, the ‘e801’ is expanding the horizons of speed possibilities associated with electric water cruisers.
