Hopdoddy Burger Bar is going against the grain by swapping its plant-based meat offerings with a new regenerative meat supplier.

For those unfamiliar, regenerative meat comes from animals grazed on pastures without synthetic chemicals, and not treated with hormones or antibiotics. The idea is that regenerative grazing helps to create more healthy soil, fortify pastures, and sequester more carbon than traditional cattle raising methods.

Hopdoddy Burger Bar has begun sourcing its regenerative meat from Force of Nature, which is a fellow Austin-based company. As the chain explained, “Simply put, a single burger jumpstarts a regenerative food system proven to cool our planet, purify our air and water, rejuvenate our soil, and raise animals like they deserve.”

You can now try regenerative meat (or opt for conventional beef) on four of Hopdoddy’s burgers.
