Ninja Theory showcased a new cinematic trailer for its upcoming adventure title ‘Hellblade II: Senua’s Sacrifice’ at GDC 2023. The trailer rapidly spread across the internet due to its impressive detail and lifelike graphics, which the company attributes to Epic Games’ next-generation Unreal Engine 5 game engine.
The trailer is a close-up of a woman speaking while the camera slowly pans out. When the woman is close and in-frame, the detail is impressive, with each wrinkle, pore, and spec of dirt visible in full lifelike detail.
As for the release window or gameplay for Hellblade II, the company has stated that the game will release at some point in 2023, but did not offer any more specifics than this. The gameplay is expected to be action adventure-style gameplay similar to Hellblade 1.
