Verdant Robotics, a company that aims to enhance modern agriculture by leveraging technologies seen in industries ranging from space navigation to autonomous motoring, has launched a brand new weeding service that brings robotics, artificial intelligence and other precision tech to farms.
This weeding service is designed to be able to carry out high-speed and high-precision weeding, whilst also applying crop-protection solutions and weed-tackling lasers, simultaneously conducting modelling of crops.
Verdant Robotics states that its platform indexes farms much like search engines index the internet, meaning that plants are tracked in order to allow for decision-making that is informed with precise data of the highest quality. Ultimately, this translates to extra efficiency, improved yields and maximized profits, all made possible by tapping into scientific arenas that run the gamut from computer vision to soil chemistry.
