Pan Pacific, a member of
Singapore-listed UOL Group, has expanded its portfolio of
Parkroyal hotels to the Malaysian island of Langkawi, an UNESCO
Geopark.

Located on Tengah beach, the 301-room Parkroyal
Langkawi Resort features a choice of guest rooms and
suites that range in size from 437 sqft for a deluxe room to
1248 sqft for a two-bedroom apartment.

Even more spacious one to three-bedroom villas range from
2615 sqft to 3982 sqft and feature a cozy lounge area and a private
plunge pool with direct access to the beach.

Dining options
include an all-day dining restaurant offering a range
of signature local favourites and international dishes, as well as
a seafood restaurant and bar overlooking the Andaman Sea.

Other facilities include a spa, two pools,
a jogging trail, fitness centre, a variety of meeting and event
space, and a kids’ club with an outdoor playground.

“The opening of Parkroyal Langkawi Resort,
Malaysia, gives us the opportunity to expand in the region as the
fifth property in Malaysia and Malaysia’s Kenanga Research expects
tourist arrivals in the country to jump almost four-fold to 9.6
million in 2023 from an estimated 2.5 million a year ago,” said
Richard Tan, Vice President of Operations, Pan Pacific Hotels
Group. “With business and leisure travels slowly resuming, the
hospitality industry is set to grow as borders reopen with the
overall tourist arrivals expected to reach 80% to 95% of
pre-pandemic levels this year according to the United Nations
World Tourism Organisation. In the next two years, we are
committed to growing the Parkroyal brand with the addition of nine
properties in gateway cities that include Tokyo, Malacca, Dalian, Siem Reap, Jakarta
and Hanoi where we will be well-placed across these strategic
locations to take advantage of the travel demand.”

The group also expanded its serviced suites
portfolio in the region in November 2022 with the opening of the
194-room Parkroyal Suites Bangkok located on Sukhumvit Soi 6, just
a short walking distance to Nana BTS sky train station.

Upcoming openings include Parkroyal Serviced
Suites Hanoi which overlooks the picturesque West Lake, and
Parkroyal Serviced Suites Jakarta, in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

The company is expected to grow its portfolio to more than 50 hotels, resorts and serviced suites in
over 30 cities across Asia Pacific, North America and Europe
by 2024.
