There is just one month left to enter our Future Luxury Retail Design Competition, which calls for innovative concepts that reimagine the future of luxury retail. Enter now before the contest closes for entries on 7 July.

Announced last month, Dezeen and Bentley have teamed up to launch a global contest that invites architects and designers to envisage what luxury retail could look like in 2030 and beyond.

Through the competition, Dezeen and Bentley seek to discover forward-thinking ideas for both digital and physical luxury retail experiences of the future, in and out of the automotive world.

Contestants are free to imagine any experience they like – real-world, digital, or a hybrid – for any luxury sector: architecture, audio, automotive, fashion, furniture, hospitality, interiors, real estate, speciality travel, wellness or any other luxury product or service that Bentley could expand into in the future.

Contest challenges designers to reimagine the future of luxury retail

The contest, which is free to enter for anyone over the age of 18 in any country around the world, closes for entries on Friday 7 July 2023.

It features total prize money of £30,000 and a top prize of £15,000.

Full details of how to enter the competition are included in the competition brief and rules.

Judges seeking forward-thinking ideas for luxury retail experiences

The finalists will be determined by a judging panel comprising architects, designers and experts specialising in retail, as well as representatives from Bentley and Dezeen, who will be revealed in the coming weeks.

The judges will be looking for talented individuals to present original and innovative ideas for the future of luxury retail – whether real-world, digital, or a hybrid – for any luxury sector.

While Bentley is synonymous with luxury motoring, it is increasingly venturing into other contemporary luxury lifestyle sectors – including furniture, interiors and architecture – through its Bentley Home range of furnishings and its upcoming Bentley Residence in Miami.

Against this backdrop, judges will be looking for ideas that provide a bespoke and personalised experience for customers and draw from the rich heritage of Bentley’s craftsmanship and technological innovation.

How to enter

Entrants must submit a description of their idea explaining how it meets the brief, along with supporting imagery showcasing the concept.

Entrants have the option to produce a video or animation of the design, which should be uploaded to an external hosting platform such as YouTube or Vimeo and submitted via a URL.
