LONDON — Britain’s most famous Brexiteer Nigel Farage came face to face with writhing snakes and deep mud as he made his reality TV debut Sunday night.

Appearing on the long-running U.K. reality TV program “I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!” the former Brexit Party leader had to brave numerous Australian reptiles as he took part in trials broadcast in Sunday’s first episode.

In the show, leading — and middling — British celebrities are dropped into the Australian jungle for several days, where they must face creepy crawlies and predators in “Bushtucker Trials” to win food for their camp.

Farage — who will reportedly earn £1.5 million for his reality TV turn — was initially dropped off in the Australian outback, where he and two other celebs attempted to gather special tokens for fellow campers to help them win food in the forthcoming trials.

“Can’t go any worse than Brexit,” fellow competitor Josie Gibson quipped as she prepared to face the first challenge alongside Farage.

The arch-Brexiteer later came face to face with a number of snakes after poking his head through a window to gather tokens. Farage ignored the reptiles, and vice versa. Later in the episode, he was forced to submerge himself into a deep mud pit to search for further tokens.

Previous politicians to take on the jungle include the former Health Secretary Matt Hancock, who ate animal genitalia on several occasions as he romped to a third place finish last year.
