The Flip Chair has been designedly Kuan-Cheng Chen as a graceful furniture piece that mimics the movement of grass in the wind to prioritize a fluid yet functional solution for the home.
The chair maintains a dynamic yet organic form that was designed with Grasshopper programming in order to achieve the gradual undulation of the various layers. The chair is constructed out of wood and makes use of a steam bending technique to achieve the various curves observed with the layers.
