The Mondrian Singapore Duxton hotel will open
its doors in March 2023.
The hotel is located a stone’s throw from the Central
Business District in the heart of Duxton Hill in Tanjong Pagar,
with many local restaurants, bars and shops in the neighborhood.
Changi Airport is approximately 22 minutes away by car.
Designed from the
ground up by Los Angeles-based Studio Carter, the 302-room hotel eschews the
traditional lobby, using the space instead to immerse guests in
what the team believe will be a
bustling restaurant and bar from the moment they arrive.
The Mondrian Singapore Duxton’s art collection compliments the design narrative, inviting guests to
broaden their horizons and journey through the property. The
multi-disciplinary curated artworks feature both emerging and
established Singaporean and international artists and were
specifically selected for the element of surprise they create.
“It’s all about gathering a true community of
creatives and free-thinkers, and provoking conversations,
imaginations and culture,” said Robert C. Hauck, the hotel’s
creative and highly experienced GM. “I see Mondrian becoming
the beating heart of this extraordinary city, a catalyst to forge
connections with like-minded people, innovators and the wild at
heart.”
Facilities at the hotel will include a cocktail
bar that is accessed via a ‘secret tunnel’; a variety of meeting
and event spaces; a restaurant; café; rooftop bar; and a rooftop
swimming pool with poolside cabanas.
Rooms will feature what the hotel describes as
‘out-of-the-ordinary minibars’, Lavazza coffee machines and
amenities by Malin+Goetz.
