Blaze Entertainment announced the ‘Indie Heroes Collection 2’ game cartridge for its ‘Evercade’ ecosystem of gaming devices. The Evercade lineup currently includes the ‘Evercade Handheld,’ ‘Evercade VS,’ and ‘Evercade EXP.’ However, the original handheld has recently been retired in favor of its successor, the EXP.
The Indie Heroes Collection 2 and its predecessor focus on bringing modern games with retro-inspired graphics and themes to the retro gaming console. These games were developed for retro consoles in the modern era, continuing a popular trend of homebrew titles for fan-favorite consoles. For example, ‘Eyra, The Crow Maiden,’ is an action platformer developed in 2022 for the Sega MegaDrive.
This Indie Heroes Collection brings 12 games for Evercade owners to enjoy. Additionally, the cartridge is compatible with all systems in the Evercade family. This cartridge releases on January 31st, 2023, at an MSRP of $29.99
