Just as the name suggests, Trader Joe’s new Tri-Colored Mini Gnocchi consists of tiny dumplings in a delicious pastel color palette. The pasta itself is made from a blend of potato, wheat flour, and cornstarch, which is the same base used for Trader Joe’s seasonal Pumpkin Gnocchi. The dumplings are then divided into three batches and colored red, white, and green through the use of tomato and spinach juice – natural food colorings that don’t flavor the pasta itself. As Trader Joe’s writes, “In addition to the unique chromatic characteristics of these Gnocchi, they’re also magnificently Mini-sized in comparison to most of the gnocchi you’ll find in our stores, which means they cook up in just a couple of minutes.”
