Jetstar Asia (3K) will resume services between
Singapore and Haikou on Saturday, 29 April 2023, following a
three-year hiatus.
The airline will operate the service with four
flights per week on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays
using Airbus A320 aircraft .
Flight 3K817 is scheduled to depart from T4 at
Changi Airport in Singapore (SIN) at 07:25,
with arrival at Haikou (HAK) set at 11:05. From Haikou, the Jetstar Asia
service, 3K818, is slated to depart at midday, arriving back at Changi
Airport in Singapore at 15:30.
The Singapore-based low-cost carrier expects to
fly more than 70,000 customers each year between the two popular
destinations, meeting the pent-up demand for travellers wanting to
return to the port city and capital of China’s island province of
Hainan.
“The restoration of Jetstar’s Singapore-Haikou
service will provide more options for travellers between China and
Singapore,” said Lim Ching Kiat, Executive Vice President of Air
Hub & Cargo Development at Changi Airport Group. “In recent
months, airlines are progressively resuming flights to and from
China. The recovery of Singapore-China flight frequency is
currently at around 40 percent of pre-COVID19 levels, and we look
forward to welcoming more Chinese tourists to Singapore this
year.”
Before the pandemic, Jetstar operated more than 80
weekly services to six destinations in Greater China including
Haikou, Shantou, Sanya, Xuzhou, Guiyang and Taipei.

Asia flew to in 2009 and as the first international airline to
provide low-cost travel to customers in China, we have a
long-standing relationship with the city of Haikou,” said Xu

important port for Jetstar Asia and a popular destination for our
customers, including the many Singaporeans with Hainanese

Asian countries including Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta, Denpasar
