Hilton has expanded its portfolio of Garden Inn
hotels to the city of Kyoto, Japan.

The Hilton Garden Inn Kyoto Shijo Karasuma,
the brand’s first property in the country, is located
just three minutes from Kyoto Station by subway, a four-minute walk from Shijo and Gojo
subway stations, and within walking distance of shopping areas
such as Nishiki Market and the business district.

The hotel is also close to popular tourist attractions such as Gion,
a tourist-favorite with its high concentration of traditional
wooden machiya merchant houses, as well as Nijo Castle, an UNESCO
world heritage site and one of the best surviving examples of
palace architecture from Japan’s feudal era.

“Japan
is one of the world’s most sought-after travel destinations and we
are delighted to celebrate the timely debut of Hilton Garden Inn
following the reopening of Japan’s borders to international
travelers,” said Alan Watts, president, Asia Pacific, Hilton. “Opening in Kyoto, Hilton Garden Inn Kyoto Shijo
Karasuma will cater to the pent-up travel demand that we
anticipate will sweep over the country. This debut is especially
significant as it also represents the 600th hotel to join the
Hilton portfolio in Asia Pacific, cementing Hilton’s position as
the fastest growing hotel company in the region and a great
milestone in our drive to have 1,000 trading hotels in Asia
Pacific by 2025.”

The nine-storey
hotel features 250 rooms divided into nine
configurations ranging from functional standard 20 to
23-square meter layouts for up to two people, to 57-square meter
premium family rooms that can accommodate up to six people
comfortably.

Facilities and services include complimentary Wi-Fi
throughout the hotel; all-day dining restaurant; a self-service
laundry facility; fitness
center; and The Shop, where local snacks, beverages, coffee and
other items are available 24 hours a day.

“We are pleased to bring the Hilton Garden
Inn brand to yet another new country and territory,” said Alan
Roberts, Brand Leader, Hilton Garden Inn. “The milestone Hilton
Garden Inn Kyoto Shijo Karasuma hotel provides a familiar
environment for travelers with warm glowing service and thoughtful
touches – the perfect homebase to explore all that Japan’s ancient
capital city has to offer.”
