The Air Bakin is an iconic footwear silhouette for Nike and basketball in general. The model debuted in 1997 and was famously worn by Tim Hardaway back in his Miami Heat years. In 2023, Nike and Supreme are joining forces to revive the Air Bakin and pay homage to the basketball aesthetics of the late 90s and early 2000s.
The Nike x Supreme collaboration is, of course, highly anticipated by sneakerheads and basketball fans. The partnership will re-imagine the Air Bakin in two colorways—the Black/Speed Red/Multi-Color and the White/Amarillo. The upper will be co-branded with rubber badges at the ankles, Nike Air tongue logos, and Supreme heel tabs.
The global release of the Supreme x Nike Air Bakin Spring 2023 collaboration is scheduled for March 2nd in the US and March 4th in Japan.
