GCR Ratings has announced the appointment of Mrs Yolanda Miya as Independent Non-Executive Director to the Board of Global Credit Rating Co. (Pty) Ltd in South Africa.

In her new role, together with GCR Rating’s existing Independent Non-Executive Directors (Mr. Olivier Beroud, Chairman, and Mr. Kevin Hogarth), Mrs. Miya will oversee governance, risk and compliance.


Mrs. Miya has over 20 years of experience encompassing equity research, financial markets, investment banking, emerging markets, and investments. She began working at Deutsche Bank Securities South Africa as a senior associate where the rose through the ranks to Vice President and Managing Director. In these roles, she advised multinational companies on investments and financing. Mrs. Miya has a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours in Finance and Accounting), is registered with the South African Institute of Financial Markets and is a UK Financial Conduct Authority Approved Person.
