Guinness Nigeria Plc has announced the resignation of Mrs. Tariye Gbadegesin from its Board of Directors.

A notification filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) and signed by Abidemi Ademola (Mrs), Legal Director/Company Secretary, said the resignation was to enable Gbadegesin take up an executive position in another organization.

“This is to inform the Nigerian Exchange Limited, the investing public and other stakeholders, of the resignation of Mrs. Tariye Gbadegesin from the Board of Guinness Nigeria Plc with effect from 24th February 2024.

“Mrs Tariye Gbadegesin’s resignation is in line with the terms of her recent appointment as the Chief Executive Officer of the Climate Investment Funds (CIF).

“Mrs. Gbadegesin, a seasoned professional with over 20 years’ experience in finance, principal investments, and infrastructure, was appointed to the Board of Guinness Nigeria on 27th July 2022.

“Until her resignation, she served as a valuable member of the Statutory Audit Committee of the Board.

“The Board of Guinness Nigeria Plc hugely appreciates Mrs. Gbadegesin for her commitment, innovative and strategic contribution to the Company as a valued Independent Non-Executive Director. The Board wishes Mrs. Gbadegesin success in her new endeavours.”
