FNZ, the leading global wealth management platform, has announced the appointment of Ray Moodley as the new Managing Director of Africa. Ray’s appointment will contribute to FNZ’s continuous efforts to strengthen its leadership team and expand its presence across Africa as demand increases across the continent.
As the Managing Director of Africa, Ray will oversee FNZ’s operations across the continent. This includes driving growth, developing business, and nurturing important client relationships in key markets. With more than 30 years of experience, Ray brings a wealth of expertise from leadership roles in global technology firms and startup ventures across South Africa, the rest of Africa, and the Middle East.
Ray’s career includes several executive leadership positions at organizations like Oracle Financial Services, Temenos, and ACI Worldwide. He’s achieved success in growing businesses, surpassing sales goals, and fostering collaboration across different parts of the world. Ray’s strong strategic thinking, focus on sales, and ability to build important customer and partner relationships have consistently led to excellent results.
The appointment serves as further evidence of FNZ’s strong commitment to the African market, which is a key growth region as demand for its market-leading wealth management platform increases. It builds on the successful acquisition and integration of the Silica business acquired from Ninety One, and a number of key customer successes. FNZ now administers funds for over 1.2 million investors and employs over 650 people in Africa, and has over R27 trillion in assets under administration globally.
Through its global platform, FNZ is solving the biggest challenges currently facing banks, insurance companies, asset managers, trust companies and financial advisors looking to provide highly curated, digital experiences that make wealth more transparent and sustainable.
Today, FNZ partners with over 650 large financial institutions and over 12,000 wealth management firms including abrdn, Aviva, Barclays, First National Bank, Generali, Lloyds, Momentum, Nedbank, Ninety One, Sanlam, Sygnia, Quilter, UOB and Vanguard.
