Swedish audio brand Nocs presents its new Nocs Mini, which is essentially a smaller iteration of its initial monolithic speaker. It was a handmade nod to music which was encased in a blackened birch plywood exterior fueled by a Class-D amplifier and many other technical components. The defining feature is the three-over-two arrangement which is allowed by a large audio presence aurally and literally. The Nocs Mini imitates the same feature at a more modest look and price point.
Founder of Nocs, Daniel Alm states, “We were driven to preserve the Nocs Studio sound within a smaller unit. In the process, we encountered several challenges: For example, how do we maintain a solid bass response within this ultra-compact frame? The answer lay in our decision to choose a subwoofer module with a passive radiator over the conventional vented design – a choice that defines Mini’s distinct character.”
