China Southern has confirmed that during the
Summer 2023 (S23) schedule, from 26 March to 28 October 2023, the
airline (including Xiamen Air of which China Southern is the major
shareholder) plans to operate over 630,000
flights in total.

That is the equivalent to approximately 3,000 flights
per day,
carrying passengers to 216 destinations, including 167 domestic
destinations and 49 international and regional destinations.

China Southern has made continued efforts
to build two significant strategic hubs: Guangzhou and Beijing Daxing.

At Guangzhou Baiyun Airport, the airline will increase frequencies
from Guangzhou to Chengdu, Lijiang, Yiwu etc., and launch a “China
Southern Shuttle” service from Guangzhou to Beijing, Shanghai,
Hangzhou, Chengdu and other 6 destinations.

At Beijing Daxing
Airport, China Southern will further optimize the flight schedule to Guangzhou
and Shenzhen, with 16 daily flights to Guangzhou and
14 daily flights to Shenzhen with a departure interval of about 1
hour.

The carrier will also increase flight frequencies from Daxing to many domestic destinations, such as 11 daily flights to
Chengdu and 10 daily flights to Changsha.

In Summer 2023, China Southern will operate 74
international and regional routes and 732 weekly flights.

From its Guangzhou hub, it will operate 34
routes and over 400 weekly flights, forming a “4-hour air-traffic
circle” between Guangzhou and major cities in Southeast Asia and
a “12-hour air-traffic circle” with major cities around the world.

China Southern’s international flights resumption is mainly in
Australia and New Zealand Zone (ANZ) and Southeast Asia,
specifically, daily flighta on Guangzhou-Sydney/Melbourne/Auckland
in ANA, two daily flights on Guangzhou-Kuala Lumpur/Singapore/Ho Chi
Minh (Saigon)/Hanoi/Manila in Southeast Asia, as well as daily flights
between Guangzhou/Shenyang/Dalian/Yanji-Seoul Inchon and Daxing-Gimpo
in Korea.

Moreover, the carrier will resume popular tourism
routes, such as Guangzhou-Bali/Sabah, Chiang Mai/Siem Reap/Phuket
from the end of April, and introduce more international flights
from Daxing Airport, such as 4 weekly flights on Daxing-Moscow/Amsterdam
and 2 weekly flights on Daxing-Tashkent, as well as flights to
London and Osaka.
