The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has appointed a new spokesman, Dr Isa Abdulmumin, in acting capacity.
This followed the retirement of the Director of Corporate Communications Department, Osita Nwanisobi, on Friday, after serving as the director of Corporate Communications since 2021.
Multiple media reports said Nwasinobi bowed out of the services of the apex bank having served as a special assistant to the financial system stability, deputy governor between 2009 and 2011, and also as a special assistant to the corporate services deputy governor from 2001 to 2009.
Abdulmumin, who takes over in acting capacity, has been in the Corporate Communications Department since he joined the CBN.
