The ‘CO2Renu’ fleece collection includes pieces that are made out of 30 percent polyethylene terephthalate that is specifically derived from recycled carbon, with the other 70 percent made from polyethylene terephthalate that is obtained from recycled plastic bottles.
In addition to offering unquestionable technical performance and aesthetic points, the ‘CO2Renu’ fleece collection actually prioritizes sustainable manufacturing rather than treating it as a side-show, something that Katie Cotterill, senior buyer manager over at Craghoppers, highlighted. “As a technical outdoor brand, polyester is one of our most commonly used fibers,” said Cotterill. “To be able to incorporate LanzaTech’s groundbreaking technology into our fabrics means that we are able to take the first step on our journey to using next-generation recycled fibers that don’t rely on recycled bottles.”
