Renowned French label Hermès presented its new luxury homeware collection during Milan Design Week. The objects were debuted in an interesting fashion—”on chunky concrete plinths within a geometric cage formed from iron rods.” Hermès Maison co-artistic directors Perelman and Alexis Fabry arranged this presentation, hoping to “celebrate simplicity and express only ‘what is truly essential.'”

The eye-catching installation frames Hermès’ luxury homeware collection in an interesting way. Despite its complexity in detail, the installation creates. a balance and synergy with the shapes and colors of the furniture pieces and home decor.

Following the end of Milan Design Week, the label plans to recycle all facets of the installation—the rods will be sent back to the manufacturer to be melted while the slabs will be given to a depot where they will be crushed. Both the rods and the slabs will then be reused.
