The Anambra State Government and African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) on Friday, September 8, 202 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to support actualization of the state’s developmental goals.

The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of  the 2023 Anambra Investment Summit.

In a tweet on the X micro-blogging platform, the Bank stated that it will support the Government with project preparation and advisory services, including a potential debt financing programme of up to $200 million.

It added that the deal is in line with Afreximbank’s strategic focus on accelerating Africa’s infrastructure development, adding that key projects to be evaluated for bankability will include the Ikenga Mixed-Use Industrial City, the Anambra Export Emporium and the Akwaihedi Unubi Uga Automotive Industrial Park.
