The new European Commission, which started on 1 December 2024, would like to hear from young Europeans. As part of this initiative, Maria Luís Albuquerque, the European Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union, will host a 2‑hour conversation with young people from the European Union on 4 March 2025 in Brussels. The topic will be the future of finance (fintech, sustainability, crypto, AI, etc.).
We want to invite young Europeans aged 18 to 30, with an interest in finance, to share their thoughts and ideas with us in a one-minute video. We’d like to hear about how they interact with the world of finance (banks, payment apps, smart wallets, money management tools, etc.) and what changes and innovations they would like to see in the way financial services operate.
The deadline to apply is 13 January 2025. Once we have received all submissions, we will select 15 participants who will be invited to meet Commissioner Albuquerque for the dialogue in Brussels. Travel and accommodation costs will be fully covered. If you are eligible to apply, or know someone who might be, you can find all the details on the dialogue page. We would be most grateful for your help in spreading the word.
The dialogue on 4 March 2025 will be livestreamed, so everyone can follow the discussion online. We also plan to share the key takeaways with you, our Finance news hub subscribers, after the event.
