The future of design and construction is rapidly evolving, with innovative technologies such as 3D printing paving the way for revolutionary creations like the world’s first 3D-printed hotel. Set to open just outside of Marfa, Texas is a new hotel with an expansive infinity pool, pods and safari tents.

For this project, Liz Lambert, founder of Marfa’s bohemian hotel brand El Cosmico, teamed up with Bjarke Ingels Group and ICON, which has a contract with NASA to build homes on the moon and Mars.

The 3D-printed hotel’s form takes cues from the natural landscape it is surrounded by and it explores design in a way that goes beyond rectilinear forms. With rooms that boast curved walls, circular skylights and round bed platforms, this hotel promises to provide unforgettable stays.
