Where better to enjoy Dutch food than at the Rijksmuseum? The fine-dining RIJKS is situated within the Rijksmuseum, one of the most significant museums in the world, featuring an extraordinary collection of Hals, Vermeer, Rembrandt, and other Dutch Masters.

RIJKS has received numerous awards and distinctions, including a Michelin-star. Thanks to the remarkable interpretation of local cuisine by young chef Joris Bijdendijk. Almost everything on the menu is sourced from The Netherlands, from Zeeland oysters to cheeses to local beef.

The vegetable options, many of which feature ingredients grown in their garden, are particularly excellent. The seasonal menu features dry-aged farm duck served with the bird’s tongue and heart, roasted young leeks with chanterelles and truffles, and a goat terrine with bitter lettuce and cranberries.

The restaurant also offers a wine list that includes wines from the Netherlands, uncommon outside the country. During the summer, you can make a reservation on their large terrace, where you can eat while admiring views of the nearby Rijksmuseum.

Ron Gastrobar is a hip, urban spot featuring globally influenced-Asian fusion. Ron Blaauw, the chef and proprietor, can undoubtedly be called a culinary genius after converting his 2 Michelin-star restaurant.

Here, you can savor inventive simplicity that focuses on unique combinations and distinct flavors. Ron Gastrobar experiments with different flavors and textures, giving each recipe a unique twist by adjusting the spice or crispiness needed to produce some classics.

It boasts an open kitchen and a modern black-and-white style with light wood accents, creating a trendy atmosphere. You will also find a vast terrace to book during the summer.

The menu includes a number of small plates, such as goose liver with red beets, risotto with smoked eel, and steak with lemon and lovage. Of course, there are also well-chosen wines and other beverages available.
