Youth dialogue on money management skills

The European Commission would like to hear from young Europeans. As part of this effort, Maria Luís Albuquerque, Commissioner for Financial Services and the Savings and Investments Union, is hosting a 2‑hour conversation with young people from the EU on 30 April in  Brussels.

The topic of the dialogue will be money management skills. We want to hear young Europeans’ views about the knowledge and tools they need to take charge of their financial future, and how we can better support the learning of these skills. Their ideas will feed into the Commission’s ongoing efforts to promote financial literacy in the EU, in line with its strategy adopted in September 2025.

For a chance to participate, we are inviting young Europeans aged 18 to 30 to share their thoughts with us in a one-minute video. We would like to hear why they think it’s important for young people to learn about money. The deadline to apply is 19 February 2026.

Once we have received all submissions, we will select 15 participants who will be invited to meet Commissioner Albuquerque for the dialogue in Brussels. Travel and accommodation costs will be fully covered.

If you are eligible to apply, or know someone who might be, you can find all the details on the dialogue page. We would be most grateful for your help in spreading the word.
