business cabin, 24 seats in the United Premium Plus cabin, and 266
seats in the United Economy cabin.
“United returned to the Hong Kong market just
two months ago after a pause of nearly three years, and we are
excited to announce that we will be adding more flights between
Hong Kong and San Francisco this August,” said Walter
Dias, Regional Director of Greater China, Korea, and Southeast
Asia Sales. “Combined with the new
late-evening Hong Kong departure time and early-afternoon San
Francisco departure time, our new 12 times- weekly HKG-SFO service
will provide our customers in Hong Kong, the southern part of
mainland China, and some Southeast Asian countries including
Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, with more flight options to San
Francisco and one-stop connections to more than 70 destinations in
the mainland U.S., Canada, and Latin America via our hub in San
Francisco.”
San Francisco is United’s largest hub on the U.S.
West Coast and a gateway to Asia-Pacific. The hub currently offers direct
flights to more than 10 Asia-Pacific destinations including
Auckland (New Zealand), Brisbane, Haneda/Tokyo, Incheon/Seoul,
Melbourne, Narita/Tokyo, Papeete/Tahiti, Singapore, Shanghai,
