Russia overnight launched its first drone strike on Kyiv in 12 days, damaging three homes and injuring one person, according to a senior Ukrainian military official.
The attack included a barrage of Iranian-made Shahed drones, Sergey Popko, the head of Kyiv’s military administration, said in a Telegram post.
All were shot down by Ukrainian forces, Popko said, as the capital and neighbouring regions were under raid alerts in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Pokpo said there was no further information on casualties or destruction so far, though the military head of the region, Ruslan Kravchenko, said on Facebook that three homes were damaged by falling debris. Witnesses reported hearing blasts like air defense systems hitting targets.
