A new 5-star hotel has opened in the centre of
Thailand’s capital city, Bangkok.
Located within walking distance of Siam BTS skytrain station,
Central World and the Siam Paragon
lifestyle mall, the twin-tower Chatrium Grand Bangkok hotel overlooks the Saen Saeb Canal, one
of the city’s most famous waterways.
Owned by City Realty, the real estate arm of the
Sophonpanich family, and developed with an investment of THB 5.5
billion (approx. USD 154 million), the creative minds at Robert Philip
Holmes architects and DWP design studio were commissioned to craft an
iconic luxury hotel.
“It gives me great pleasure and pride to open
Chatrium Grand Bangkok, our striking flagship hotel and a new
urban landmark,” said Savitri
Ramyarupa, Managing Director of Chatrium Hospitality. “As the
first member of our enhanced luxury collection, this five-star
hotel will reflect the highest standards of international
hospitality, while also showcasing the authentic elegance of Thai
culture through our exquisite interior design and service. As
Thailand prepares to enter its first full high season in three
years, this is the perfect time to embark on this exciting new
era. We look forward to offering a warm welcome to our discerning
customers from around the world.”
The 582 rooms and suites, which range in size from
the 46-sqm Deluxe Rooms to the
170-sqm Three Bedroom Suites and 321-sqm Penthouse, are all
adorned with artistic interiors, panoramic windows with city views,
cutting-edge technology and marble bathrooms with oversized,
free-standing bath tubs.
A collection of one, two and three-bedroom
residences are also available for those on
extended stays in the Thai capital.
Facilities at the hotel include an Executive
Lounge, a variety of F&B outlets, a kids’ club and outdoor
playground, a 500-sqm pillar-free Grand Ballroom that can host up
to 700 people, a choice of other meeting and event spaces, a 40-metre
swimming pool, a fitness centre featuring Life Fitness
equipment and a Spa by Thann Wellness Sanctuary.
Chatrium Grand Bangkok is now the flagship
property in
Chatrium Hospitality’s expanding collection, which currently comprises
hotels, resorts and residences in three countries: Thailand, Japan
and Myanmar.
