Xejet Limited has received its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), enabling airline to continue its commercial operations.
Captain Chris Najomo, the Acting Director General of Civil Aviation, Nigeria, presented the AOC to Xejet Limited, at the NCAA Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, on Friday.
The Ag.DGCA emphasized that the simplification of AOC process is a testament to the new ease of doing business culture at the NCAA.
While reiterating that getting the AOC is not just about acquiring the certificate, but about maintaining it, he warned that the NCAA will not hesitate to bring down the hammer on any airline that does not abide by the terms and conditions of the AOC.
Najomo disclosed that the Authority has granted three AOCs in less than four months, and assured that the NCAA is willing to issue more to encourage new investors, especially as the process is now more simplified.
The Ag.DGCA said NCAA remains committed to fostering the ease of doing business in the aviation sector to encourage new investments.
In his response, the Chief Executive Officer, Xejet Limited, Mr. Emmanuel Iza, promised to abide by industry rules in all his transactions.
As a beneficiary of NCAA’s new ease of doing business policy, Mr. Iza pledged to spread the word on the simplification of the previously excessively complicated administrative procedure in the acquisition of an AOC.
